ELM Update (includes information for a deal for outdoor paint)

April 27, 2022

Street sweeping will begin in Edgemont in June.  You can go to Calgary.ca to see when they will be cleaning your street.

The City of Calgary is also offering free compost to Calgary residents.  Compost will be available for pickup, by online appointment only, from April 25 to June 11 at Shepard (South) and Spyhill(North) landfills.

What is compost? Compost is a soil amendment that helps to improve the health of lawns, flower beds and gardens. Compost is 100% natural and made up of the food scraps, leaves, branches and yard waste collected through the Green Cart program. Compost must be mixed with soil – it is not a replacement for soil. Benefits of compost · Enhances soil structure. · Increases soil nutrient content. · Uses less water through greater moisture retention. · Improves plant health.

Go to The City of Calgary website to find out more information about compost and to book an appointment.
