Dear Edgemont Residents and Ward 4 Community,
We’d like to share an update on the upcoming road resurfacing work along Crowchild Trail N.W., which may affect your commute or nearby travel.
Project Timeline
Beginning May 23, 2025, our contractor, Standard General, will start milling and paving the remaining ramps between Shaganappi Trail and Stoney Trail. Work is expected to be completed by early June, weather permitting.
Where Work Is Happening
Construction will begin at the Shaganappi Trail N.W. ramp, and will include:

53 Street N.W. on/off ramps

Sarcee Trail N.W. ramps

Nose Hill Drive N.W. ramps

Crowfoot Parade N.W. ramps
Mainline paving and several ramps were resurfaced in 2024.
What You Can Expect

Night Work: All paving will take place overnight from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. to reduce daytime traffic impacts.

Lane Closures & Speed Reductions: Expect overnight lane closures and reduced speed limits to 50 km/h. Please obey all posted signage.

Noise & Vibrations: Nearby residents and businesses may experience some nighttime noise and vibrations during the work. Efforts will be made to limit disruptions.

Transit Impacts: Some Calgary Transit routes may be affected by ramp closures. For details, visit calgarytransit.com.
